Junior Developer
Lixar is looking for a Junior Web Developer to become part of our team. As a key contributor, you will be part of a team to develop leading edge web applications. The ideal candidate will be a Junior Developer who works well with others and strives for perfection.
As a Junior Developer, you will have:
- 1-3 years previous development experience working with .NET or PHP technologies
- Demonstrated ability and flexibility to manage time and priorities effectively
- Apply initiative and creativity when approaching challenges
- Able to communicate effectively within a development team and with clients
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Leadership skills
- Have a clear understanding of web services and Service Oriented Architecture
- Experience with MySQL, MS SQL and/or PostgreSQL
- Ability to analyze, modify, and extend existing applications as well as develop new code
- Experience working with and developing Content Management Systems (CMS)
- Post secondary education in Computer Science or related field, is preferred.
Bonus assets:
- Development experience in Java, PHP and/or ASP considered an asset
- Knowledge of HTML, XML and javascript
- Familiarity with one or more of the following: C#, Adobe Flex, AJAX
- Experience working in a small company where team work is paramount
