While the economic implications of COVID-19 are yet to be fully seen, we do know that many businesses are facing unprecedented challenges, including reduced workloads, halted projects, and even layoffs. Lixar has also experienced an adjustment in workload due to the airline industry travel impacts which affected our transportation team. Yes, these adjustments are never enjoyable to go through but they do provide a moment of pause to determine next steps and possible opportunities to upskill, strategically re-tool and reinvest.
As a premier AI & data company, Lixar takes preparing for the future very seriously. Since the outbreak, we have been fortunate enough to have a strong remote workforce, allowing us to keep our team members safe; however, we have also used this time to reinvest in the latest industry knowledge and technology abilities.
This approach has allowed us to make the best out of a difficult situation, using the time wisely, as we pivot and adapt to the realities of COVID-19 and the foreseeable new normal — not just today, but into the long-term.
How did we adapt and pivot? We applied an upskilling program to accelerate our position for the post-pandemic world. Over the last 6-8 weeks, Lixar has become an 8x Gold Certified Microsoft Partner through our Lixar University project, which is an important push forward from our previous 3 times Gold standing – Development, AI/Data and Cloud. We now hold the following 8 Microsoft Gold-level Competencies: Data and AI, App and Infrastructure, and Modern Workplace.
Data and AI Competencies
Expertise in delivering customers actionable business insights they can use to transform their businesses.
Expertise in enabling customers to harness big data and analytics on-premises, in the cloud, and in hybrid environments.
App and Infrastructure Competencies
Expertise in providing development services on an enterprise-proven platform.
Expertise in integrating applications and data and automating business processes across the enterprise.
Expertise in helping customers modernize their infrastructure and migrate applications and data to the cloud.
Expertise in transforming datacenters to become more flexible, scalable, and cost-effective with solutions that bridge on-premises and the cloud.
Modern Workplace Competencies
Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM)
Expertise in helping customers address important compliance issues and emerging security threats.
Expertise in helping customers guard against threats, protect data, and maintain compliance.
Our New Normal
We are thankful for the Lixar teams and their creative, innovative and can-do approach to this new normal. The culture to embrace this opportunity to upskill and achieve the above mentioned competencies at eight times Gold level truly is something that each member of the team can feel proud of — turning adversity into opportunity. We’ve always been experts in data ingestion (engineering, architecture), transformation (ai, data-driven) and cloud computing (agile, scalable, on demand) — team growth to do more is never a bad thing.
Together we will continue to invest in the possible as we each continue to navigate this uncharted territory.
We are still adapting, thinking forward, and aiming to make the most out of the situation and you can, too.
At Lixar, we made the decision to use this time to invest in our team and our Partners like Microsoft because we believe in the future, and we want to be ready for it. There are many limitations to what businesses can do right now, but looking ahead is not one of them. Perhaps we can all take this time to rethink, retool and reinvest, and come back stronger for it.
If you would like to learn how you can pivot and adapt during this time, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Our team is here for you and we want to help.
